Our clinic offers a full range of services with special emphasis on cats and dogs of all sizes. We will help you keep your pet happy and healthy for a long life.
We value your time. For your convenience, there is a drop-off early/pick up service so that you can leave your pet with us and pick them up when you are ready to.
We understand how important it is to diagnose your pet's ailments as quickly as possible, which is why we have an on-site lab where we can run tests and have results, in most cases, before the end of your appointment.
MEDICAL & SURGICAL PROCEDURES
We offer a wide range of medical procedures performed by our experienced veterinarians or we can refer you to a variety of board certified veterinarians. These areas include dermatology, ophthalmology, otology, chemotherapy, ultrasonography, radiology, cardiology, and internal medicine. Surgeries are performed on a daily basis at our clinic. These surgeries include spays and neuters, declawing, orthopedic surgeries, bladder stone removal (cystotomy), abscess drain placements, exploratory procedures, ophthalmic procedures, growth removals, and many others.
We are pleased to offer the most advanced radiology services available with state of the art digital radiographs. Digital radiology allows our doctors to view images with extremely precise detail. This technology assists in diagnosis with a minimal amount of time and radiation.
Small animal dentistry is similar in many ways to human dentistry and just as important. Routine dental care helps prevent bacteria build-up (helps eliminate doggy breath!) and prevent potentially dangerous health problems.
Nutrition is important not only for your health and well-being, but also your pet's! Many illnesses can be prevented, cured, or alleviated through proper nutrition. We have an experienced staff that can create a nutrition plan specifically tailored to your pets needs. We also carry a variety of foods for dogs and cats!
PREVENTATIVE HEALTH COUNSELING
It is very important for your pet's health to visit a veterinarian at least once a year for a wellness exam and vaccinations. Routine exams ensure your pet's continued health and vaccinations prevent illnesses transmitted by other animals. Some illnesses, like feline leukemia, can be easily prevented but will never go away once your pet has contracted it. It is also greatly advised that you spay or neuter your pet. This will not only reduce the amount of animals in need of homes but it also prevents many health issues further down the road.
Skin problems in dogs and cats can be extremely frustrating for pets and their owners. Our veterinarians have experience in a variety of diagnostic techniques and treatments that will make you pet feel better.
Proper bathing and grooming is very important to the health and well being of your pet. Our groomer, Ally Lawson, is highly trained in the art of styling your pets and she received her education at Nash Academy in Lexington, Kentucky. She offers a variety of services including nail trimming, ear cleaning and plucking, deshedding treatments, as well as shampooing and styling.
Fixing a broken bone can sometimes be easier than fixing a behavior problem. Some disorders include separation anxiety, urinating outside of the box (with cats) or in the house (with dogs), aggression, or barking. Sometimes these issues mean that your animal is trying to get your attention and alert you of their medical problem. A physical exam is needed to determine the problem which can sometimes be fixed medicinally. In other cases, a behavior specialist is needed. We have many qualified people that we would be happy to refer you to!
